BACK TO NETBALL
Developed by England Netball, the Back to Netball programme has been aimed at welcoming women of all ages back to sport, whether they’re returning after a long break, recovering from an injury, looking to return follow pregnancy or trying netball for the first time.
Leighton Buzzard Netball Club run weekly back to netball sessions to encourage players of all ages and ability to play the game. The sessions cater to all fitness levels and abilities, and provide participants the chance to learn new skills and enjoy playing netball with like-minded individuals in a fun, social and supportive environment.
Each week, sessions focus on basic techniques and netball drills before moving in to match play to implement the skills and help rebuild confidence on the court.
Back to Netball encourages women to get active while making new friends, fostering both physical health and social connections through the love of the game.
Over the years, many participants at LBNC’s Back to Netball programme have moved on to be members of the main club and compete within our teams.
